Sulfur-containing organotin stabilizers are mainly mercaptan organotin and organotin sulfides, which are currently more common stabilizers, but their odor is large, toxic and environmentally unfriendly. Monoalkyltin thiols and dialkyltin thiols are often used in combination to improve the initial colorability and long-term stability of PVC. It can be used for the stabilization of all polymers, with complete crystal-like transparency, and all organotin PVC stabilizers can do this through appropriate formulations.
(1) Alkyl tin can react with unstable chlorine atoms, which limits the initiation of HCL removal and prevents the formation of large conjugated structures. Organotin thiols can also replace unstable chlorine atoms in PVC.

In addition, mercaptans formed by the reaction of mercaptan organotin with HCL can also undergo addition reactions with conjugated double bonds.
